Today’s engi­neer­ing firms have embraced opti­miza­tion as a critical com­po­nent within sim­u­la­tion-driven design. Although the algo­rithms are rea­son­ably mature and well under­stood, the dif­fer­ent methods for the shape vari­a­tion of critical surfaces and com­po­nents are not.
